We’re slowly working on building up our repertoire of foods Murrow will eat. The other day he happily gnawed down an apple wedge (what CAN’T the wedge do?). I know, it’s nothing compared to the crudité plates some of you other babies are wolfing down (ahem, Abbie), but it’s a huge accomplishment for us. He’s… Continue reading Soylent Baby
Ready for my Close-up
Whenever the camera is out, Murrow can't help but charge at it and Kim can't help but take a picture of him doing it. So we've ended up with a nice little collection of photos that are too close for the camera to focus on, but too cute not to share.
What About Bob?
Our friend Liam was over the other day and introduced Murrow to his imaginary friend, Bob. Now it’s all they talk about. “Bob, Bob, Bob.” Murrow’s been pretty vocal the past week or so. Lots of Bobs, Puhs and Kihs. Unfortunately, Kih (aka the kitty), decided to strike out on her own last weekend. There… Continue reading What About Bob?
Travels With Blockie
There are 50 blocks in Murrow’s collection, but the one he clearly favors is the purple cylindrical one. He’ll pull it out of the box and do all his normal Murrow things with it. He pulls himself up on the furniture with Blockie. He plays with (always with, not in) the exer-saucer with Blockie. He… Continue reading Travels With Blockie
What Can He Eat?
A good question. We’re still trying to figure it out. Until yesterday he found the jarred Apples and Apricots palatable. Until today he love the jarred Sweet Potato. The past few days have seen very little food of worth go into Murrow. The few things he ate before, he won’t eat now. Extremely frustrating to… Continue reading What Can He Eat?
A Rash of Rashes
I've suspected for a while that Murrow's developed a dairy allergy, despite (or maybe because of) his being primarily fed milk-based formula the first few weeks of his life. Last week I tested this theory with some yogurt… hive city. Today I took him to the allergist, and we can now confirm it… Mo's allergic… Continue reading A Rash of Rashes
Early Christmas Present
According to Uncle Two Belts, this is either abuse, or the most awesome thing ever. You be the judge. All we know is its the best $7.50 we've ever spent.
Ah Bah Bah Bah Bah
Murrow and Momma have a new game. Baby boy lets out a long ahhhhhh and Momma bounces her hand over his mouth, creating the funniest sounds I've heard in awhile. [audio:ah-bah-bah-bah.mp3]
Dunk the Baby
Murrow and poppa have a new game, to supplement the endlessly fun pull-the-magnet-off-the-fridge put-the-magnet-on-the-fridge game. The new game involves poppa drinking a glass of water and Murrow dunking his hand into the glass every time it gets near him. There's two ways of thinking about this. 1. Murrow gets his hands clean in the water … Continue reading Dunk the Baby
Reading and Playing
Murrow is slowly growing out of his "books are for chewing" phase and has begun interacting with some of them. He loves his feely books, with tails that wiggle or are fuzzy, or bugs that are crinkly. I love this picture of Murrow and his friend Liam where they're arguing about which page in the… Continue reading Reading and Playing
